The Week That Was..

It is so easy to get caught up in what there IS still to do and what didnt get DONE.

I want to try and spend a few minutes at the end of each week, looking back at what we, as a family DID achieve and what memories we did create.

I hope to blog a reflection from time to time that I will call, "The Week That Was".  I am hoping this habit will allow me:

  • to smile thinking about the great things we did do
  • to appreciate that whilst I didnt get everything I wanted done, I got LOTS done
  • to focus on the positives of what seemed like a busy stressful week
  • to realise that even though life is so busy we did actually create some moments that mattered
I hope some of you will join me and create a small space of time to look back on your week.  I am sure it will provide us with some benefits.

Some of my achievements and moments that mattered were:

  • Had family over to celebrate a couple of birthdays.
  • Set up this facebook and blog page
  • Had a bonfire and toasted marshmellows and told some stories around the fire with the kids :)  Now that was fun and made the girls smile and giggle :)
  • Baked some homemade goodies
  • Did an act of kindness for a family in need
  • Volunteered at school excursion that DD really wanted me to go to
  • Made homemade icecream
  • Attended a cute birthday party with my youngest daughter and loved seeing the kids having a gorgeous time and some quality time with other mums

5 Minute Desk Rescue

It never ceases to amaze me at how our minds will trick us into thinking things will take longer than they do.  Here is a 5 minute desk rescue of my daughters desk.  Set the timer and see what you can get done with your desk.

Shoe Storage and Shoe Sort Challenge - Join Me

This is what I use for storage of shoes that we are currently wearing on a daily basis.  Shoes that arent worn so frequently are stored in each of our bedrooms and outdoor shoes are stored on a shoe rack by the back door.  As we have recently moved to a property, we have lots of outdoor shoes.

I would love to see how you store your shoes.  I am also going to have a 15 minute shoe sort out this week and get rid of any shoes that no longer need to be hanging around.

Set your timers for 15 minutes and see how many pairs of shoes we can farewell from our homes!!!

p.s. the gummies are staying :)

Baking is so much easier when you have the ingreds ready to roll...

I havent baked as much as I would have liked due to having a very hectic few weeks.  The actual task of baking really doesnt take as long as I always think it will.  The key for me is to get the ingredients out and ready during the day.  When it then comes time to bake, its very quick and easy.  The key is to choose a recipe the day before and get up in the morning knowing what goodies you are going to bake.  Would love you to share what you have chosen to bake tomorrow.

Welcome : New Kid on the Blog!

Welcome to my blog.  I would love you to share in this journey of blogging with me.  I believe, i
n life, it is the moments that matter.

Memorable moments can lead to a lifetime of wonderful memories.

Life isnt about the huge exciting mega things that happen to us. It is about creating small memorable moments in each and every day of our lives.

I am a mum to two beautiful daughters, whose aim is to lead the best life I can and to create happy, fun and positive changes in an increasingly stressful, overwhelming and high paced world.

Slow down and create a moment...xx
